American “Sloppy” Burger

The well-known messy American burger with a Verstegen twist, without added sugars from the Verstegen Guilt Free Tomato Ketchup.



4 Brioche buns
250 g Pork Mince
250g Beef Mince
4 Lettuce leaves
3 Tomatoes
8 Pickles
2 Onions
3 Cloves of garlic
1 Sachet (40g) Spice Mix for Minced Meat – Paprika
5 Tbsp Guilt Free Tomato Ketchup
2 Tbsp (olive) oil
Salt, to taste


Cut the tomatoes into fine cubes and the pickle into slices. Finely chop the onion and garlic.

Heat a pan with the (olive) oil and fry the onion and garlic until golden brown. Add the minced meat and fry it.

Add the tomatoes, Guilt Free Tomato Ketchup and Spice Mix for Minced Meat – Paprika. Add salt to taste if necessary. Simmer for about 2 minutes.

Cut the hamburger buns in half and top with the lettuce. Divide the ‘sloppy burger’ on the lettuce and garnish with gherkin slices. Serve immediately.
